Why are Android one phone's battery draining fast after android M upgrade. What is the remedy?

Mine is a SPICE Android one phone which recently received the android m upgrade. But after the upgrade battery is heating too much and draining very fast. Please give a solution to the problem.

Did you flash a ROM?

So far only Nexus devices got the 6.0 Marshmallow update.

Nexus and Android One (first gen) phones are getting the OTA for Marshmallow.

Did you try a factory reset after the upgrade? This usually fixes a lot of issues right after upgrading to a whole new version.

same problem here with micromax android one. its heating much after updating

Haven't noticed any issues with battery life but I am facing the overheating problem.

What do you find that it overheats? In my case I notice that the CPU gets really hot even after basic usage, battery temps are normal.
