Android Central Question

I have a LG Stylo 2 and today(it's happened a few months ago, but I deleted them and it didn't happen again, until today) I found hundreds of emoji pictures in my gallery. I delete them but they are still there. I've been researching how to stop this, but I am not very tech savvy, and some directions are confusing. How can I stop this from happening, not just store these pics on my phone where I can't see them? I don't want to give up valuable storage.

Most likely, one of your social media apps is downloading them and is not correctly marking that folder as "do not show".

In your "gallery" app, select one of the emojis, tap the info button to see what folder it is in.
Using your favorite file browser app, create an empty file called ".nomedia" in that folder.
Then restart the phone to kick the media indexer into action.

If the files are on the phone, they are taking up storage. The only choice you have it so see them or not see them.
