Why are manufacturers not upgrading battery size?

Upselling, profits and after market Upgrades rule this process imho.. My VM OV stock has a bigger battery than the stock Triumph ???

Makes no sense so other than the battery size limits.. 3mm for more than twice the capacity it has now would turn me on.. Slim is in and greed is good or so they tell me, Nuff said : )

And most of us who have one don't care that the battery's not removable either. By doing this they cut down on even more thickness. iPhone people can't change their battery and I suppose they built a bridge and got over it. I almost wish they had made it as thick as the camera portion of it so it would have been smooth all the way back and added even more space to the battery. In fact, my only reason for moving to android at all was because the Maxx had such a big battery. As the next gen of LTE chips get more efficient this will likely be less of an issue.

6 or so months ago I gave up my Android phone for an iPhone. I NEED my phone to be up 24/7 for work. My last couple Android phones just weren't cutting it...light to medium usage of the phone and the battery would be dead by the time I left the office, but I'm still on call the rest of the night. I went with an iPhone 'cause I saw my wife using hers constantly throughout the day, screen brightness on the fullest setting, wifi on all day even when there were no hotspots around, bluetooth also on all day...she'd get home after work and still have 40-50% of her battery left.

So now I have an iPhone...battery is what I expected it to be. It lasts me all day plus some. No complaints there at all. But man do I miss Android!! So I see Motorla's Razr Maxx gets great battery life, but the thing is so darn big. I keep my phone in my pocket and that thing is just too big. Otherwise I like it. I'm really hoping other manufacturers go the route Motorola did with the Maxx...big battery (I don't care if it's not removable as long as I can get through a whole day!) but with a 4" screen. For me that's the sweet spot...4".

I think people have been hitting it, Moto did with the Maxx, no doubt the best stock battery phone out, and I think if youre doing non removable batteries, you need to have at 2200-2500 until the new battery tech comes out.
