Android Central Question

My internet consuming apps take a while to start up. This is very unusual behaviour. It happens on my mother's phone as well.
The phone works perfectly on mobile data, but on all wifi networks, my apps lag. Apps like Twitter, Chrome, Spotify and Gmail need a while to start up. It's as if they're disconnected from the internet. My Instagram doesn't even fully load in which makes it completely useless.

I have a Samsung Galaxy A51 bought earlier this year, the same thing happened on my old phone, a Samsung Galaxy s6.

No, the guide I linked says to type in the IP address of the router. According to that guide, the default local IP address for the router is 192.168.1.1. If you or anyone else never changed it, then type that into the URL bar -- you should then see the login page. Use "admin" as both the username and password (again, assuming no one else changed them), which should get you to the menu.

If that IP address doesn't work, then look on the underside or back of the router for a sticker that might have its default IP address printed on it.

Try 192.168.0.1. If that doesn't work, then as I mentioned previously, look on the underside or back of the router for a sticker that might have the default IP address listed.

Also, just to be sure, you're connected to that wi-fi network, right? You're not on the phone's cellular mobile data connection only?

I am on the WIFI network. None of it is working. The wifi's properties says IPv4 address. Should I try that?

Ok so I entered the IPv4 address and it gave me the dialogue box. But I got the same red screen.

Is this your personal router, or does it belong to someone else in your house? If it belongs to someone else, then they may have changed the username and password for the admin account. If that is the case, have you asked them?

I've asked this a couple of times, but can you look on the back or bottom of the router and tell us if you see a sticker that includes information like the router's default IP address? If so, see if it says there what the default username and password are.

The link I shared previously is for your router's general model number, but I think it's specifically for the EU version, so there might still be a few minor differences.

No one else in the house has changed the router's information. There is no sticker that states the IP address or password

My location is Sint Maarten if maybe that could help to clarify

Yeah, I think that'll be your next step. If you can't log into your router's settings because somebody changed the username/password, then there won't be much else we can help with. Sorry!

Great! Ok, now review my wi-fi troubleshooting guide and see if any of those tips help.

I forgot to ask earlier -- are speeds low even if you're right next to the router?

While I'm in apps, they work perfectly*. It's just the laggy start up when I launch the apps that is annoying. Sitting next to to the router doesn't make much of a difference.
I could be in an app and click a link then I have to wait for the link itself to load in.

My phone tells me that i'm on 72mbs network speed.
My laptop says the wifi properties are 2.4ghz network brand

My router internet time is saying DEC 31 2011 and thr timezone is Tijuana, Baja California. Is this normal? I am in the Caribbean. Could the ISP have set it this way because of country status or something?

Sometimes incorrect date and time can cause problems, but I'm not sure if that would be the culprit here. Do you see any options to set the date/time, either automatically or manually? Can you at least change the timezone?

Can you find a QoS (Quality of Service) option anywhere in the menu? If so, then make sure it's turned off.

Try turning off any security option temporarily and see if that makes a difference.

You could also try changing your DNS server -- I recommend using either Google's or Cloudflare's DNS: https://www.howtogeek.com/167533/the-ultimate-guide-to-changing-your-dns-server/
