Android Central Question

My Powerbeats Wireless 2 have been playing my music fine for over a year, but today I connected them to play music, but the music was playing through my phone's speakers and not the headphones. I have a Galaxy S7 Edge and I already tried resetting the headphones themself. When I go into Bluetooth settings, it says the powerbeats are connected for call audio. I try to turn on the media audio in the settings, but it's a grey color and I can't turn it on as if it's disabled.

Welcome to Android Central! What happens if you forget the headphones in the phone's Bluetooth menu, then re-pair them?

Is the phone connected to any other Bluetooth device for Media Audio (like your car, or separate BT speakers)?

Thank you. I already tried multiple times to forget the headphones and nothing. No, my phone is not connected to anything else.

I had the same problem and fixed this by turning off bluetooth and turning it back on.
