why are my new app shortcuts not showing on my page on Samsung galaxy's

after i download a new app from playstore and create a shortcut the shortcut is not showing up

Welcome to the forum. If you download an app from Play you can have Play create a shortcut on your home screen. If not, the app icon will be in your app drawer, you can then copy that to your home screen. What part of that isn't working? Can you find the downloaded app in your app drawer?
