Why are my S health steps different on my S5 and my wife's S6?

S health steps different on my S5 and my wife's S6.

My wife has a S6, I have a S5, we walk and work all day together. Her steps are always less than mine. Why? Can I fix the problem?

I would imagine its because the hardware in them is different. The S6 could be recording it more accurate than the S5.
