AC Question

I have an S5 and recently downloaded the marshmallow update. My current SD card is found but I can't see the pics on the card in the gallery anymore.

I have to go the file manager to view the pics which are all still there but not sure why they don't populate to the gallery automatically any more.

Any new pics seem to be populating to the gallery on the SD card though. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central! Try going to the App Manager, select Gallery, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Now open it again, and wait a few seconds for the database to rebuild Are the photos there now?

I had an issue where photos from SD card showed up, but not internal. I cleared both the data from gallery, as mentioned above, and media storage.

I have tried the comment below, clearing the caches. This worked. I restarted. Clicked on the galley, all the photos populated the galley however, when I clicked on a photo and swiped through the photos, after about 10 they stopped loading. I get a black screen. Even those the photos is loaded on the photo reel below. To load the picture full screen, I have go back and click on that particular photo to view it full screen.

Any thoughts? I've got a galaxy tab s2. It says it's got 1gb of free RAM. I don't understand why they won't load. Just upgraded to marshmallows 6.0.1
