Why are my songs disappearing

Why are my songs disappearing from my OPPO phone after updating it. I'm shocked as it has never happened to me before. Before I had 500 of my favourite songs and now I'm left with only 75

Welcome to Android Central! Where did you get the songs from? Are they your own tracks that you ripped from CDs and copied to the phone? Or are they tracks you purchased from a music site and downloaded? Or are they "free" songs from a shady "free mp3 download" site that are most likely pirated/copyright infringing?
