Why are my wireless earbuds fighting me to keep the sound off?

I have no problems pairing my earbuds and my phone together, but after a short period of time they begin to turn down my volume. Mr wireless earbud buttons are also unresponsive.

I have no problems pairing my earbuds and my phone together, but after a short period of time they begin to turn down my volume, and whenever I try to turn them up my earbuds fight me to keep the volume down. My wireless earbud buttons are also unresponsive.
