Why are there not more threads on the Axon7?

I think for some, like me, there are issues with every phone. It is just that some have more than others. If I found a device that did everything the S7 Edge did and made me happy, for half the cost, I would be thrilled. I would sell the S7E and keep the other device. What I have found, however, is that there is a reason devices like the S7E cost what they do. They do not have the issues the OP3, Axon 7 and other less expensive devices have. I understand that many people do not like Touchwiz, but for me it is a non-issue. I use Nova and disable the apps I do not want to use and Touchwiz is fine. In fact, Samsung has the best email, calendar, contacts and dialer apps out there, in my opinion. That includes anything available on the Play Store.

I am still trying the Axon 7, but it will likely go back. There are just too many compromises. It is a good phone for the price. I agree with you, however, that spending the additional amount for the Samsung flagships is worth it for those who can afford it. They are the best phones out right now if price is not a factor.

I'm not trying to start a argument, but I don't think that the Samsung phones are are worth the extra cash.

I took my s7 Edge back in a week and got another V10 knowing it's shortcomings on AT&T. I gave my note 5 to the wife to use to get my first V10 .. So truth be told.. We all are of a different mind about what we use... Lol

The Axion 7.. After much consideration will be my next phone and once they unlock the bootloader it's just a matter of time till it will be rooted and running the latest goodness available.

I loved my HTC m8 boom sound speakers and sound quality and this one is sure to please, unlike my s7 edge that sounded like listening to a drowning cat over 2 tin cans and a string.. Meh...

Quartz Grey next month for me and my son can have my 1 month old V10...

This whole debate has me wondering if I should kill my pre-order. My understanding was that the 30 day return window was for any purchase. Since newegg is the ONLY official way to buy the phones in Canada, it seems odd that they wouldn't honour the manufacturer's policy. I guess I still have a few days to decide before it's too late. Might have to have a chat with newegg Canada. Part of my reasoning for ordering the Axon (because I was ridiculously close to ordering the OnePlus 3) was the 30 day return window. I figured that would give me time to decide if it was what I wanted or not. Hmmmm.

Edit: WRT the non-contract phone return policy at newegg - the Axon 7 does NOT fall under that policy. If you look at some of their other unlocked phones, they specify the non-contract phone return policy ... the A7 falls under the standard return policy. So basically, you can return it, but you'll get hit with a restocking fee in all likelihood. Even in the section where they list the Passport 2.0 features, they exclude the 30 day exchange line. Sooooooooo ... I don't know about that part. But it should be returnable, even if at a cost.

A word of advise if I may, forget about the vendor's policy and just enjoy the phone, it's a great device, it really is a flagship at a mid range device price. BUT, if for any reason you want to return it, just return it to ZTE, their passport 2.0 covers Newegg sales, in fact ZTE themselves recommended me to buy from Newegg when I called them for a concern I had. If you read the passport 2.0 information they don't mention that the 35 days return windows is to the vendor you got it from, it's implicit that is to be returned to ZTE, so in worst case scenario and you have any issues with Newegg you should just contact ZTE directly and return it to them for a full refund providing you the Sales invoice or receipt.

It's good advice. I don't expect that there will be any issues, but I do dislike there being multi-layered and consumer-confusing policies at play that seem to contradict each other in some ways. The "official" vendors should honour the OEM's policies as offered. If that's a 35 day no questions return policy, that should be across the board, and not subject to a vendor's own plans. Don't confuse and complicate things for the potential customers - or, as we've been reading already, they'll simply not buy it and get something less confusing instead.

I seriously don't understand this type of thinking...if the Note 7 is on the table, why on earth are you messing around with an Axon 7? I figure the people going for this phone are the somewhat budget minded people that want something under $500. If you can pay that $850, get the Note 7, no question. That is a true flagship experience.

The only thing you have to understand is that everyone has different criteria when it comes to choosing a device. Apparently that gentleman is not concerned with price or high end "flag ship" status in his purchase decisions. He may place more value on materials, form factor, features, software, etc. He decided he wanted to shop between the Axon and the Note 7 and that's absolutely legitimate for him. He obviously likes both devices. So why shouldn't they both be on his shopping list? If you're implying that higher price means better or higher quality, then you'd be sadly mistaken. This Axon puts some "high end" expensive devices to shame. With it's cheap self!

Well, at least the Axon 7 doesn't explode...

I can afford buying note 7 and besides explodegate i'd never purchase it. Why? I prefer metal phones to glass body ones, audio is my factor not the camera capabilities.
So considering hardware and look axon 7 is my dream spec smartphone with metal body, top notch spec, superior audio and 1440p amoled display. Worth much more than 399 bucks
