Why are third party apps saying that I have less storage space then I do?

Nexus 7 Storage Problem

I recently updated my Nexus 7 (WIFI, 2012) to Android 5.0, Lollipop. I have the 30 GB version. But for some reason android and 3rd party apps are reading that i only have 6 GB available.

Are you referring to the amount of app storage you have? Try a factory reset to see if it will fix it.

The apps might be broken for Lollipop.

I was able to fix this problem by logging out of my nexus and logging back in
