App not Showing in Play Store

LG G3 D850 AT&T. I use an app to manage my cable company's home phone. The app is called Easy Gadget or BHN Easy Gadget. If I look in the Play Store the app is not there from my LG G3. If I look from my Moto G, it is there. I found the APK and installed it that way but it only partially works.
I called BHN support and they said they have had no issues with the G3. In fact the guy I spoke to has a G3 and the app shows up for him. The difference is the carrier (and I guess the model). I have AT&T and he has Sprint.
Anyone have an explanation for this? Is AT&T somehow blocking the app (they are a competitor to BHN)?

Re: App not Showing in Play Store

Play Store listings availability is up to each app dev, normally. They're the ones that can specify if they 'block' an app from appearing on non-compatible phones. Sometimes they can also block availability from region to region, but in this case, I doubt that's why it's not appearing. Now, you could try this to see if this is the case.

Go to the Play Store on a desktop browser, log into your account, and search for the app there. (Or go to the link below, which should take you straight to the app). There you'll see a green 'i' icon below the app's name and rating. This section tells you which of your registered phones (make sure you're using the same account you used on your phone or it won't appear there!) is compatible with the app.

In my case, for instance, it's showing as compatible with my Tab S, but not with the Note 5. If your phone shows up as compatible there, then you should be able to hit the INSTALL button in that page, which will ask you to which of your devices you'd like to install to.

Thanks. Mine shows as incomparable. That is just plain weird. I installed it by the APK. I can get notifications of new calls to my home phone but it crashes when I try to log in which would allow me to see all calls. Plus the fact that a Sprint G3 works?

I'd contact the app developer and let them know, it might just be an error on their part... of maybe, like you clearly saw, the fact is the app is NOT working with your specific model for some reason, and that's why the dev might choose to block it (rather block it than release a non-working version).

That being said, sometimes it's just the dev being lazy. I've used a TV-mirroring app from Samsung on non-compatible Samsung phones for a couple years now (Tab S and Note 5) since they never updated their compatibility listings and they work just fine.
