Browsers are not maintaining connections on older version asus android tablet.

- browsers do not maintain connection
- cannot send messages through forums
- cannot get connection through outlook/hotmail services to reply to emails/ service unavailable responses
- continuous shut-down of numerous app on tablet or apps not responding messages
- attempted changing various settings under instructions from techs to no avail
- have tried removing various unused apps or reinstalled apps with issues still occurring
- restarting tablet causes all previous changed settings to revert back to defaults
- antivirus scan shows no viruses present - cannot turn on firewall - cleaned data, scanned wi-fi connection - no issues in regards to wi-fi connection service
- Asus TF101 transformer, ios android 4.0.3
- no tablet damage that i am aware of

Re: Browsers are not maintaining connections on older version asus android tablet.

Welcome to Android Central! It's a pretty old device, so it's possible the hardware is starting to fail. You could try booting into Safe Mode to see if the problems persist. On most Android devices, while powered on, press and hold Power until the Power Off menu appears. Press and hold the Power Off selection until the Safe Mode prompt appears. Tap OK.

If the problem disappears in Safe Mode, then something you installed is causing the problem. You may have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem disappears. If the problem persists in Safe Mode, then it's more likely to be a hardware or firmware problem.
