Why Aren't I Receiving Message Notifications?

[Android Central Question]

I just recently had a software update on my Samsung Galaxy S7, and now I don't receive any kind of notification when I receive a new text message other than a brief vibration. I've checked EVERYTHING in the notification settings, I've cleared the cache, and I'm STILL not receiving any. The only way I know I have a message is when I actually go in the app. Please help me!

Try swiping the notification bar down, and look for a speaker icon in the quick settings. Keep tapping it until its blue. It should work.
