Why aren't maps working on my Android wear after recent update?

maps not working on android wear after recent update

I used to be able to say 'ok google - navigate home' on my android wear device and it would open up maps on my phone and direct me home.

Now it says calculating route for about 1 min then comes up with a message saying check on phone.

I get directions on my watch if I chose the destination on my phone but no longer the other way round. Am I missing something here or is anyone else experiencing this? I have all the location settings etc on.

It was a bug that was fixed with the latest version of Maps, so make sure you're updated. Then they warn that it may take a while for the app to sync to your watch (unless you force it). Working fine for me now.
