Why aren't my Galaxy S5 Contacts and Address book syncing with my 2015 Chevy Malibu?

Galaxy S5 Contacts and Address book not syncing with 2015 Chevy Malibu

Hi All,

I've seen this question asked before but I have yet to see a solution.

I'm having trouble syncing all of my contacts from my Samsung Galaxy S5 to my new 2015 Chevy Malibu. When I pair the devices it will ask me on my phone if the car has permission to access my contacts and I'll say yes. When I go into the phonebook on the car or try to voice dial by a name it only pulls 10ish contacts from my phone. I've tried re-pairing, turning off wifi and re-pairing, making sure 4g is on and re-pairing to no avail. Again, these are all solutions I've seen but none seem to work.

Has anyone done anything or seen anything that works for this issue?

Welcome to Android Central! When this occurred on my Nexus 5, I fixed it by opening Contacts, tapping Menu>Contacts to Display, then changing it from "All Contacts" to "Customize," and selecting all of the groups. Not sure if that will work with your S5, but it's worth a try.

This didn't seem to work either. I sat for a bit trying different variations of this solution to no avail. Might have to take it into the dealership. I'll post if they can get it working... :/

Which 10ish contacts does it pull? Is there any common thread to them?

I am having the same problem with the S6 in my 2015 Chevy Trax. Did anyone ever resolve this issue?
