Why Aren't Pictures Getting Through?

I've had strange things going on with my text messaging. I use a OnePlus 6T, and I was using the Google Messaging app on it when I realized I was only getting a few of the text messages my wife was sending me. I checked the OnePlus Messaging app and they all came through there, so I figured it was a Google problem and switched to the OnePlus app. But now my wife is trying to text me an image of our dog, and it won't come through to my phone. On her end, it says"Receiver canceled", but I'm not doing anything at all. I don't see an option to cancel, and I've checked all the settings I know to check and cleared anything that might block incoming images. I'm stumped. Please help!

Welcome to Android Central! Who's your carrier, and have you asked them about this issue? Is it only picture messages that aren't getting through? If so, make sure you mobile data is on and has a good signal, and make sure that the APN settings are correct for your carrier.

Do you have any other messaging apps installed, like Facebook Messenger?
