My wife has the Wifi only 8.9. I previously had the Acer Iconia and now have the Transformer Prime. After much debating, I am currently selling my Prime on EBay and purchased the ATT 8.9.
One of the things I was looking forward to was being able to get some of my Gameloft games back onto the tablet......WRONG!
So the ATT version has a snapdragon processor and not the Tegra 2 chip. Not only can I not load the Gameloft games, I can't even load HBO Go. ALL of these applications show compatible with my wife 8.9 but not mine. Not in a million years would I have thought to see if the same tablet was using two different processors. What I don't understand is that hers runs so smooth and mine definitely doesn't run as well as hers. If I try to move an app icon by swiping it to another screen, it is very choppy.
Is the Snapdragon processor that much worse than the Tegra 2?
If anyone has any insights please let me know. if you own a ATT 8.9, isyours choppy at times?
