Why can I no longer download apps?

I can no longer download apps

The last few times I've tried to download apps, I have no success. The app just does not download. The blue bar just runs and runs and runs...

Delete your gmail details in Settings > Accounts. Reboot. Enter your gmail details again and reconnect.
