Android Central Question

I added a Smith's grocery store app, and tried to delete it, and can't. When I keep my finger on the app so that the trash can shows up, as soon as I try to guide the app into the trash can the trash can disappears. I can only disable the app, now.

Welcome to Android Central!

Try this: Open Settings->Apps->Smiths (or whatever they call their app). There should be two buttons - one labeled "Force Stop" and the other labeled "Disable" or "Uninstall." If that second button says "Disable," then it seems like the app may be built into the phone's system software (and you can thank your mobile carrier for forcing it on you).
