Why can I see the contact file but can't find the contacts?

Contact file

My daughter dropped her S6 active. Screen is unreadable, but phone still works. I am trying to download the contact file to my computer. I can see all the files in the phone, but can't find the contacts. Thanks for your help.

The contacts are in a database file in the phone and, if she entered them all as Google contacts, they're at Google Contacts, so they're safe. (Any phone set up on that account will sync those contacts.)

Also, when you transfer your phone info using Samsung smart switch, AT&T mobile transfer, or if you set up your accounts on the old phone, such as, google, AT&T address Book, Samsung Account, when you set up the accounts on the new phone, the info will be transferred.
