Why can't I access the Google Play Store?

i can not access google playstore

First up i have a cheap phone it is a lg l38c. I could not get into my google playstore - it would only ask me for a card number to redeem my points. so i read online to uninstall google playstore but that doesnt really appen it just takes away the updates so now i get a server error and a retry button. I have tried on several different wifis and get the same answer no matter what. How can i fix this?

Welcome to Android Central! When you set up the phone to begin with, did you log into your Google account? If the phone is logged into Google, then the Play Store should automatically log in as well. Go to Settings>Accounts​. Do you see a Google listing there? Tap it, and make sure your Google account is there.

Yes my google account is showing up in settings. I did at one time remove it and then add it again because I had read online that might solve my problem but it didn't.

I asked this a few minutes ago but then I signed up here and I lost it in the shuffle. First up i have a cheap phone it is a lg l38c. I have made sure my google account is added and everything seems to be ok with it - I get my emails. How can i fix this?

When you open the Play Store and swipe in from the left, do you see your account listed at the top?

Did you remove your Google account in the Settings>Accounts menu, or do you mean that you uninstalled all updates to the Google Play Store? The former is what you should try.
