Why can't I acess my voicemail on my unlocked Galaxy S6?

I recently took my sim card and put it into an unlocked Samsung galaxy s6. Everything on the phone works except I can't access my voicemail, when calling my own number I receive an error message. This is a Verizon phone, and I'm on the T-Mobile network.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Welcome to Android Central!

It sounds like the S6 is trying to dial the Verizon messaging center. You might need to go in to the settings and change that or just download the T-Mobile visual voice mail app from the Play Store.
