Android Central Question

How do I delete GIF history from GIF files I have sent via text? After I select and text a gif, the next time I compose a text message and press GIF on the keyboard to search gif files, all the past gif files I've sent appear in the keyboard selection area. Can't seem to hold my finger on them to make them delete, or find any other way to get rid of what I've sent.

Thank you!
David

Use a file manager to find them and delete them. (Or Gallery or Photos might find them, and you could delete them from there.)

Unable to find them... tried on phone through Files, as well on macbook via Android File Transfer. Any other ideas?? Please Help!!

Yep. Only deletes keyboard text history/cache/etc, not the GIF history stuff. BUT.. I found a work around. I have an S8+, perhaps differs from the S10, idk.
WORK AROUND SOLUTION: only holds onto 20 most recent differnet GIFs. SO... just send 20 new gifs and all the old ones you want to delete will be gone :) Which doesn't clear your history, but, if you need to get rid of a specific one, this will get the job done.
