Re: cannot delete photos or video galaxy s6 edge plus

Welcome to Android Central! Are these photos and videos locally stored on your Internal Storage, or are they photos from your Google Photos cloud (in which case they might have a little Picasa icon associated with their thumbnails)? If they're from your Google Photos cloud, you typically can't delete them using the stock Gallery app--you have to use the Google Photos app.

But i should be able to delete a picture of a **** selfie i just took on the camera from my phone.

I've been having this problem for the longest time. I found the suggestion somewhere else to change the "Categories" label to something else, such as "Albums." It worked for me. I can now delete pictures.

I'm having no issues w/ deleting photos. If I select a pic for viewing, the trashcan is at the bottom of the screen, or in gallery view, I can long press to select multiple pics, and there's a delete option.

Use Google photo as opposed to Samsung’s gallery.

Goto CAMERA then settings (cog symbol at top left) set "Review Pictures" (immediately after taken) to OFF. That worked for me.

Re: cannot delete photos or video galaxy s6 edge plus

With my phone I select Camera and when it opens there is an icon in the bottom right side of the screen - an image of a photo. Select this and the videos and photos open. The photos or videos display individually across the middle of the screen with black areas above and below. Touching anywhere in the black brings up icons on the top and bottom of the screen. Delete is one of the options. I hope this this helps.
