Why can't I disable youtube?

So I use YouTube in browser because I hate, the app. But when I go to disable it it's all greyed out so I can't. I'm sick and tired of the stupid pathetic app taking over my screen everytime I click a video link while in browser. How can I disable, uninstall or damage the stupid app so it will stop taking over every link I touch?

Welcome to the forums. It's strange that you can't disable YouTube, what phone do you have? Try this, go to settings - apps - select YouTube - force stop - clear data - clear defaults. Open a YouTube link from the browser and see if now you get the option to select a new app to open it.
