Why can't I go into fastboot mode on my Moto G 1st Gen?

Cant go into fastboot mode on Moto G 1st Gen

Hello! So I was trying to install a new custom ROM on my Moto G 2013 (1st gen). I was getting some errors and I wasnt being able to install one.. So I wanted to go back to fastboot so that I could install the updated version of TWRP (was running 2.8.5.0). But, I left the outdated TWRP with no OS installed so when i try to turn it on nothing happens, aswell as when I try to go into fastboot mode... Can someone help me please... Thanks
