Why can't I hard reset my phone?

couldnot hardreset my phone

hello....my htc one(m7) started behaving strangely.it says htc sense has been stopped unfortunately .....so i tried to reset it.....i pressed the power button +the volume down button and got the boot menu and when i choose the factory reset ,it gets turned off then shows the logo of htc ...thats it and doesnot respond.....i have tried it several times and the result is same....please help me out with this

Try the Backup and Reset feature in the settings menu. I've reset my One a couple of times using the physical button method with no issues, but if it they aren't working for you try the feature in the settings menu.

my phone is not even switching on....so i cant reach settings

Yeah that could be a problem. If that is the case and nothing you've tried on your own works it may be time to see a service center. With or without insurance they will likely try to help you reset the phone, and they should be experts at it since they want to reset for every little thing.

Was Fastboot disabled prior to you trying to wipe it? is it charged enough to do these tasks? plug it in and wait a while.
