Can't open files in Google Drive

When I tap on a file in Google Drive, whatever app I choose as editor, I get a message that the file can't be found. If I choose 'download' option before and open it from notifications bar, everything works fine. What could be at fault?

Re: Can't open files in Google Drive

Welcome to Android Central! Are the files on your Google Drive in the cloud? Or are they locally stored?

Try going to Settings>Apps>All, select Google Drive, and Force Stop, then Clear Cache/Clear Data. Now open it again, and wait for it to re-sync. Does it work now?

Excellent! That trick tends to work for glitches in other apps as well. Just be aware that clearing data will make you lose any locally saved settings or logins, and might also make you lose locally saved data, so always make sure data is synced with the cloud or backed up before trying it.
