Why can't I play vidoes that were downloaded from my Samsung Galaxy S5 to my pc?

I downloaded my pictures and videos from my Samsung Galaxy S5 to my PC but when I try to play the videos it says "Can't Play - This file isn't playable. That might be because the file type is unsupported, the file extension is incorrect, or the file is corrupt." How do I get my videos to play?
