Why can't I receive a password reset code text from Facebook?

why cant i receive password reset code text from facebook

i cant remember my password on facebook. i selected to receive a reset code via text. which i have had no problem before receiving the text. i have tried numerous times amd i never get it. ive turned my phone off the back on. still nothing. please help

May be you have updated you phone number or entered wrong number in details. Try to give your email id.
