Why can't I replace S voice with Google Now on my Note 4?

AC Question

I've used the same procedure and the Home 2 Shortcut app as I did on my Note 2, but it doesn't take. I've rebooted after this procedure, also, but still no luck. Any ideas? Is there a different way to do it?

And why are you want to do it? Just put Google bar on the star screen and use the "OK Google". It works from everywhere for me. No buttons or shortcuts. ;)

Thanks for the reply.

Why? For the convenience. I can simply push the home button twice without having to activate the screen or even look a the phone. I found it very useful for when my hands were full, etc. Would like to be able to set up my N4 so it functions the same.

You can use OK Google, (which in my opinion is better than s voice). You can set OK Google to activate from any screen even if your phone screen is off. Perfect for hands full use.

Go into your App Manager and disable SVoice and set up Google Now. I use Nova Launchers gestures to easily access the app.

If you just hold down the home button it pops up. It does for me at least.

How do you do that? I know this is an old subject but I cant get Google Now to respond when the screen is off and SVoice disables itself.

Thanks
