I accidentally clicked on reset app preferences on my phone and now my WhatsApp contacts don't have names all the names are gone and I can't even save anyone's name coz it won't reflect. I'm using a tecno canon 12 pro
Go into your app permissions for WhatsApp within your device settings and select to allow it the permission to your contacts.

That shouldn't reset names , only permission
