Can't send email from cogeco email on S4, even using Bell smtp server.
Hi,
I got an S4 1.5 years ago, wasn't able to send email from the phone using my cogeco smtp settings. I called my data provider, Virgin, and they gave me Bell's outgoing server settings, mail.1xbell.ca, and I was then able to send email from my phone. Starting yesterday, Saturday Mar 28, 2015, I am again unable to send email from my phone. I deleted the account, re-added it, tried both the cogeco settings and the bell settings, and it just won't go. I called Virgin, and they were useless, said it must be a cogeco problem, but cogeco is working just fine on my laptop; the issue is solely on my phone. Oh, and my husband, who also uses the Bell smtp settings on his android phone, is also unable to send email from his phone, even from his gmail account. This has GOT to be a problem with the Bell smtp server/settings, but I don't see anyone online complaining.
Suggestions please?
