Why can't I send or receive pics via MMS?

Can't send or receive pics via mms.

I have a nexus 4 and I suddenly can't send or receive pics with hangouts or messaging. It used to work just fine, then stopped sending/receiving pics out of the blue. Can anyone help?

wish I had an answer for you but that happens a Lot on android. For whatever reason android just can't handle picture messaging correctly.
I have had that same issue on every single android device I have ever tried.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it just doesn't. Google/Android just doesn't care to fix the issue.
Maybe Android 6.0 will be able to send pics as reliable as an iPhone or a motorola razor from 1991.

This has been my one major sore spot with android. Other than that, I love it.

Have you tried Chompsms it might work.

Also it might be the APN.

Usually the APN MMS settings, or you're trying to send too large a file.
