Why can't I set up my voice mail on Android?

[Android Central Question]

My voice mail is saying that I have to change some permissions to allow. It's showing that they are denied and when I click on allow it changes back to denied. This is making me crazy! I need my voice mail

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone, and which carrier? Are you trying to use a voice mail app? Basic voicemail shouldn't require an app -- you should be able to access it through your Phone app.
