Is your password correct, have you been blocked or locked out for some reason? Have you tried clearing the google account and cache off the phone then setting up the google account again?

If you have 2 step authentication turned on for your Google account, you need to turn this off.
You should now be able to sign in to your device, and once you have you can turn the 2 step authentication back on.
