Why can't I update my HTC One M8?

Can't Update My HTC One M8

My HTC One M8 is still on 4.4.2 and I'd like to update it. However there is no option to update the phone in Settings or in About. There is the AT&T Software Update but that says it is up to date.

As far as I know AT&T hasn't offered any updates past that and probably won't until lollypop is ready..

They might have pulled it with lollipop coming soon. I'd just wait. The rumor I've been seeing is starting Jan 3 depending on carrier.

Let's hope that rumor rings true for the new year LOL but I would still take it with a grain of salt

I would be very cautious before updating to lollipop. Think about what happened to the nexus line when 5.0 came out. I rather wait a couple days or weeks to see how the update performs.
