Why can't I update my T-Mobile Galaxy Watch

I'm connected to my watch, LTE version, through the official Samsung Galaxy Wearable app on an LG phone. When I check for watch updates it never indicates that an update is available.

But according to the website on the the device over at TMobile, I'm two versions behind what I should have.

Tell me I can update this thing without having it paired to a Samsung branded phone... please

Please make sure that the wearables app on your phone is up to date. Before an update of the watch, the app (specifically the Gear plug in) is updated as well.
May be you need to uninstall and reinstall the app to get the latest version.

I own Galaxy Watch LTE 42mm which isn't connected to service but my Pixel 4 phone is on T-Mobile. My watch currently has previous update which is: R815USQU1BSE3. The new update(R815USQU1CSL2) came out on January 27th for T-Mobile and February 5th for Verizon and possibly other carrier as well. I have done everything I could from my end:

-Restart of both devices
-Reset watch, then set it up (with and without restoring from back up)
-Uninstalled 3 apps that are responsible for Galaxy Watch(Wearable app, Plugin and Samsung Accessory Service)
-Tried to setup the watch on iPhone, on Pixel 2 and even on Galaxy S8
-Called T-Mobile but they didn't help at all and just read the info from T-Mobile support page :)

None of the above actions helped in getting the update. The wearable app just shows "up to date"

I own the watch for a little over a year and it did get 2 updates without issues, but I do remember that I had service for it. So could it be the case and I just need to sign up for T-Mobile's watch service, try to get the update and cancel?!
