i have s4 mini mobile and want to upgrade the latest version but it canot do this it error in every time

JELLY 4.2.2 and i want to upgrade

Welcome to Android Central! What error are you seeing? Are you going to Settings>About Phone>System Updates​ to check for updates?

i get yor device has been modified. software update not available

Is it rooted? If you never rooted it, did you get the phone from someone else, or buy it used?
