Why can't my HTC One turn on?

htc one wont turn on vol button down broke

when I put my htc one on charge a led light is just comes on and notting happens when I try turn it on just a black screen my vol down button is broke so I cant hard reset /....... any other ways NEED help

Welcome to Android Central! Which HTC One do you have? M7, M8, or some other version?

The battery might have failed. Try a different charging cable/plug, and let it sit on a wall outlet for at least 4-6 hours undisturbed. If it still doesn't power on, then the possibilities include a dead battery, a faulty charging port, or a faulty motherboard. In any case, you'd have to bring it to a repair shop.
