Why did my HTC One M7 shutdown in the cold?

my htc one m7 shutdown in cold !!

I go to take some photo in snow and my htc shutdown automatic !! and the percentage before take photo is 70% and after take 2-3 photo the percentage take down in 10% and the phone shutdown

I have occasional battery issues like you've described. Mine only does it when its hot though...I will have to plug it in to recharge it and it will top off at 100% in a very short time. That would indicate that my battery wasn't low, but my phone was misreading the charge level. Its not much help, but you're not the only one.

I attribute this to the fact that my phone is 2+ years old and probably starting to show its age a bit.
