Why did my Moto X 2014 say "Turbo Charging connected" when I connected my standard charger?

I connected my Moto X 2014 to the charger that came with the box (Standard charger, not turbo), and it suddenly read "TurboCharger connected" near the bottom of the screen? I don't own an turbo charger and I didn't even know my phone supported turbo charging.
What does this mean?
I'm running android 6.0.
