Why did my Motorola Droid mini mic just stop working?!?!

last night around 6:00 my phone was working fine i made a call all was good about 8:00 i received a call and the person could not hear me and google i guess "can't open microphone" and i don't know how to fix it i cant take it apart i don't have the tools or the money too get it fixed and i'm freaking out cause iv done nothing to break it please help me i've already updated context serves i'm lost as of this point x.x

Can people hear you if you're on speakerphone or a wired/Bluetooth headset? If they can hear you that way, then the primary phone mic probably failed. You'd have to bring the phone to a repair shop if you want the mic repaired.

i think the flex cable needs too be replaced... i just broke my rule of never taking apart a working phone and i guess i didnt fix it so im gonna order the piece and replace it....
