Why did my Samsung S6 Edge just accidentally hard reset on me?

Why did my Samsung S6 Edge just accidently hard reset on me?

I was in the car with my Samsung and I had set in my back pocket. When I pulled it back out my phone case had slipped causing all my buttons for a factory reset to be pushed down!!!!!! I had over 2,000 irreplaceable photos! I lost everything and I hadn't backed up my photos in awhile all I have are older photos that I don't care about!!! I'm like in tears I just think I have to accept that everything is gone forever. If there's anyway I can get some photos back or anything please contact me ASAP. Please!!!

Who is your provider? If it's Verizon, you get their cloud service that automatically backs your photos, and other media up.
