Why did predictive text stop working last week?

After last week's big upgrade, predictive text has stopped working on my Samsung S9. I have tried the usual things: shut down/restart, settings: keyboard ... but nothing changes. What should I try next?

You using stock keyboard with Google voice? Try clearing data, cache,and force stop it or use Google Gboard .
