Why did samsung note 9 update 5 install apps I would never use?

Seriously, Yahoo News is fake news. I would never install this. It is easy enough to uninstall and remove the app. At least ask permission first. It pisses me off that I get a notification sound for this at 5 am. And Sports and Finance? I'll make my own decisions regarding that too.

Welcome to Android Central! You can direct that question to either Samsung or your carrier, because they're the ones responsible for preinstalled apps, or apps that come with system updates. Sometimes these are apps that the manufacturer or the carrier think will be useful for you, but more often than not, they made some sort of financial deal with the app developer to include the app.

it happens, they attach these with a rollout sometimes. they prob aren't going to stop, best thing to do is just uninstall them and go on.
it sux, but it is what it is, prob some agreement to push apps out to the masses.
