Why did supplementary services disappear from my samsung note 9 phone?

I've never had the problem of my phone suddenly hiding my phone number. I discovered recently that I supplementary services is not on the phone settings so I have not been able to correct the private number issue

Unfortunately those are carrier-dependent. You need to talk to your service provider as they may have made a change to your line/SIM. Have you tried removing/re-inserting the SIM card to see if that re-sets your carrier settings?
