Like they have with the note 4?did they do this to make it clear Note 4 is their number 1 flagship?

This is a Note 4, but with a little extra. I am guessing that costs were involved in the decision to not go with metal.

A lot of websites say they did add metal to the Note Edge, including the Verge. We'll just have to see when it comes out if it does include metal.

From what I have been reading it IS metal but painted metal.

Thats why some early reviewers thought it was plastic.

considering these phones will never be used naked, meaning they'll always have a case or armor, I don't see the big deal about metal. the lighter the better, if it means all plastic, I am cool with it. but apparently the Edge does have metal, like said above, we have to wait and see as more info pours in.

I keep my phones Naked.

I never understood the quality of the casing debate. With all its out of the box good looks the first thing many people do is slap an ugly otter box on it.

I've never used a case since s1. Had s3 and on s5 soon to b note 4. Will no use case.

With a case or without a case, does it really matter if there is metal on the Edge or not? Moreover, does it matter what Samsung's reasoning is for using plastic, metal or something else? Either you like the phone and buy it, or you don't like the phone and don't buy it.

metal or plastic makes zero difference to me. whatever material makes these phablets lighter are cool with me.
